Aptus Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of the Aptus pilot and platform. They are a founder-prepared release draft and should receive attorney review before Aptus expands beyond the controlled pilot.

agreement and eligibility

By creating an account, requesting employer follow-up, or using Aptus, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.

Aptus may change, limit, pause, or end pilot access, features, or accounts to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or operate the service.

what Aptus is

Aptus is a hiring marketplace that allows active candidates to post professional materials and allows founder-approved employers to browse those candidates and send Provisional Compensation Quotes, or PCQs. Candidate accounts are not intended to be publicly browsable through Aptus. Aptus coordinates the PCQ response, scheduling, and first-interview handoff. Aptus does not employ candidates, make hiring decisions for employers, track later hiring decisions, guarantee employment, or act as a party to employment agreements.

PCQs
A PCQ records compensation-backed interview intent. It is not a binding job offer, employment agreement, or guarantee that a role remains available.
Exactly 100 hours
Every pending PCQ has an exactly 100-hour candidate response window. A response may close the window earlier, and a role may be filled before the window ends.
ED and AD
Candidate ED and Company Accumulated Desire are Aptus product signals. They are not salary history, a guarantee of value, or an employment decision.
First-interview boundary
After the first interview, the employer records only Proceed or Stop pursuing. Aptus does not record later interviews, offers, hiring, or employment.

candidate rules

Candidates must post truthful professional information and only content they have the right to use. Candidate-posted profile details, generated structured resumes, images, media, tokens, availability, and resume-entry review statuses may be shown to founder-approved employers under the Privacy Policy. Candidates must not place contact information in resume-entry names or experience descriptions.

Candidates must not upload unnecessary sensitive information, including Social Security numbers, banking information, medical records, immigration documents, passports, birth certificates, or other identity documents unless Aptus has expressly requested a specific item through an approved process.

pilot participation and verification

New candidate access requires entry into the controlled pilot queue, a founder-run in-person interview, approval, and candidate-specific voucher redemption. Aptus records limited workflow outcomes and ticket references. Aptus does not claim that its interview process makes impersonation or fraud impossible, and Aptus Verified does not mean government-backed or issuer-backed verification unless expressly stated.

Resume-entry and credential proof is used for Aptus review. Approved employers receive submitted resume-facing entry information and its review status, but not issuer details, internal review references, or private proof files. Aptus may reject, revoke, or correct verification when information is incomplete, inaccurate, disputed, or no longer reliable.

employer rules

Employer access is personal, founder-approved, and limited to legitimate hiring activity. Employers remain solely responsible for their hiring decisions, legal compliance, compensation statements, interviews, accommodations, and employment relationships.

Employers must not:

  • scrape, bulk-copy, resell, publish, or build unrelated databases from candidate information;
  • discriminate unlawfully or use Aptus to target or exclude people based on protected characteristics;
  • share accounts with unauthorized people or allow unverified staff to access candidate information;
  • misrepresent company identity, hiring authority, roles, compensation, or hiring intent;
  • ask candidates to pay money, buy equipment, transfer cryptocurrency, cash checks, or provide banking, SSN, tax, identity-document, or similar sensitive information during early contact;
  • contact a candidate outside the Aptus process before an accepted PCQ authorizes the first-interview handoff;
  • allow required PCQ close-outs, scheduling confirmations, or first-interview decisions to remain unattended.

content and platform rights

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Aptus a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and explain the service under these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Aptus owns the platform, software, visual design, documentation, product rules, and branding, excluding user content and third-party materials. You may not reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the service.

billing

Paid checkout is not live. Founder vouchers may create a fully discounted audit record with a $4.99 gross amount, a matching discount, and a $0.00 net amount. Aptus will provide separate reviewed billing terms before enabling paid access.

disclaimers and responsibility

Aptus is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Aptus disclaims warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every threat, or produce any interview, hire, candidate, compensation outcome, or verification result.

Users are responsible for independently evaluating opportunities, candidates, employers, compensation, credentials, and external communications. Never pay to get a job or provide sensitive financial or identity information during early hiring contact.

contact and changes

Questions, disputes, abuse reports, and legal notices should be sent through the Aptus contact address shown in the Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new version date and may require renewed acceptance.
